Anja Wahle 1, Anastasia Doroshenko 1, Wolfgang Altermann 1, Gerald Schlaf 1 1 HLA-Laboratory, Halle (Saale), Germany B Correspondence: b gerald.schlaf@uk-halle.de Early CDC-based cell tray analyses for anti-HLA antibody detection/specification were always characterized by low sensitivities and limited levels of resolution. Recipient and donor HLA typing, pre- and post-transplant HLA antibody status and clinical data for statistical analysis were available for 87 patients - 77 first-time transplant recipients and 10 patients after re-transplantation. This principle of the reduced consideration of HLA is due to the so-called linkage disequilibrium, that is, two genetically closely coupled HLA class I loci HLA-B with HLA-C on the one, and of HLA class II loci HLA-DRB1 with HLA-DRB3/4/5 and with HLA-DQB1 on the other hand.
