Abstrakt: The main structural tank construction was designed with 3D solid modeling. To determine the stress and deflection of the wall tank transformer, vacuum analysis has to be done. The minus pressure of 125 kPA to be applied to all internal surfaces of the tank. Calculation based on the sectional wall has to be done with MS Excel and the analysis using Finite Element Method (FEM) by software Cosmosworks from Solidworks Corp. Because of those calculations, we can take the summary of the strength of the tank transformer from vacuum loading. The type of material analysis is ST37 as common steel construction, with Ultimate Tensile Stress (UTS) 370 MPa, Yield Stress (YS) 240 MPa, and factor of safety Allowable Stress (AS) 180 MPa. The value stress below 168 MPa means still under elastic linear stiffness of material or in other words any wall deflection happens because pressure will be back to a state before pressure.
