Solar Heat for Industrial Process systems, SHIP, has become a growing and attractive option to achieve the goal of the decarbonization of the industry sector. In this context, Fresnel solar concentrators are a proven and reliable technology that has been implemented in SHIP systems. In the present work, a quasi-dynamic model has been developed to simulate the dynamics, inertia, and energy performance of SHIP systems with a modular Fresnel collector coupled with a steam drum. The dynamics and performance assessment of a case study of a SHIP system with modular Fresnel collectors under the IEA-SHC Task 64 SubTask C/SolarPaces Task IV has been carried out with the developed model. The results show that the analyzed SHIP system provides an annual solar fraction of 21.6%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
