Some tubules and papillary fronds were lined with two types of tumor cells: basal cells with clear cytoplasm (globoid cells) and luminaly oriented cells with compact eosinophilic cytoplasm (Figures 1B and 1C). Keywords: breast carcinoma; dimorphic pattern; globoid cells EN breast carcinoma dimorphic pattern globoid cells 1314 1316 3 10/10/23 20231001 NES 231001 Breast carcinoma with tubulopapillary features has been rarely reported in the western literature. Lefkowitz et al were first to described the globoid cells in a group of intraductal papillary carcinoma.[2] These cells were polygonal, with abundant clear or faintly eosinophilic cytoplasm, located singly or in small groups near the basement membrane, having some resemblance to the myoepithelial cells.
