Abstrakt: The article critiques the lyric poetry "Olympian Odes," by ancient Greek lyric poet Pindar. Topics discussed include the way Pindar employed the motif which concerns the obligation of humans to express gratitude to gods that have granted them victories, the translation offered by professor William Race for the lines which mentioned the Greek gods Zeus and Enyalios, and the verses presented by Pindar to acknowledge the role of said divinities in Greek society.
