Abstrakt: Natural convection in a two-dimensional square cavity containing a non-isothermal fluid with temperature dependent viscosity has been numerically investigated using a finite volume method. In This study, a source of constant heat flux is embedded on the bottom and the vertical sidewalls are maintained at a relatively low temperature, while the top wall and rest parts of the lower wall are kept adiabatic. The impacts of pertinent parameters, which are Rayleigh number (103 ≤ Ra ≤ 106), Pearson number (0 ≤ m ≤ 20) on the cooling power of the enclosure are analyzed. The results indicate that the usage of fluids with high Pearson number improves heat transfer inside the cavity. Besides, the heat removal rises by increasing Rayleigh number. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
