Security is one of the major factors taken into consideration in every step of a human being's life. Lack of security has become a major issue in the current living world. With an accelerated increase in the number of single households, the chances of crime are also increasing. Especially for single female families, stranger visitors are known to cause major anxiety. Also, the rate of robberies and thefts in households, banks, stores, etc., have been increasing rapidly every single day. To ensure safety, a strong locking system that meets the requirements of a high-security system needs to be designed. A key-based locking system has become outdated as it can be broken easily. The electronic wireless locking system is not that safe as one might forget the password, or there is a chance of the password getting stolen by others while the password is being entered. The need for security can be met by making either electric or mechanical locks with one or a few keys, but locking a large area requires multiple locks. Today all applications are based on digital technology. So, in this paper, a three-level authentication locking system is proposed, which ensures a high-level of security, in which RFID technology for card detection, GSM technology for OTP generation and Web camera for Face recognition are being used for the unlocking process. The application is run by using Raspberry Pi, which acts as the control unit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
