| Abstrakt: | This note aims at analyzing the text of Charisius Grammatica 1.80 = GL i 80.5–10 = Barwick 101.1–7, and at offering new perspectives on the meaning of the quotation from C. Gracchus cum galeare ursici , with a particular focus on the adjective ursici. This paper will argue that a solution might be to amend the transmitted text to cum galeare ursi no and to understand its meaning as "with a bearskin cap," using Vegetius Epitoma rei militaris 2.16.2 as a parallel.
