Some philosophers think that doing philosophy means making certain kinds of judgments. The Norwegian philosopher Steinar Bøyum says that philosophical experience is akin only to the aesthetic kind, and that philosophising consists of making aesthetic (or intersubjective) judgments - acts of communicating one's experience of the world in a way that others can recognize and identify with.
