Abstrakt: The article presents narratives on teaching social justice lawyering from the perspectives of practitioners-in-residence in the clinical program at American University's Washington College of Law. Topics discussed include stresses underlying the formation of professional identity and opportunities for framing success and transition to a social justice-informed practice, client-centeredness in community lawyering, client selection and collective mobilization work, and rapid response work.
