Abstrakt: Multipath represents all paths except direct path between radar and target, the path reflected on the floor is typical. The phase of the target signal is changed and the accuracy is reduced by the signal entering from the multipath. To analyze the multipath effect, a commonly used monopulse antenna pattern and squinted-sum pattern were used. As a result, in the case of using the squinted-sum pattern, the mean and standard deviation of angle error(height) were about 0.111°(2000ft), 0.1273°(210ft) lower than using the other pattern, so the accuracy was higher. To optimize the squinted-sum pattern, the steering angle of del-pattern were changed from 0.5° to 4° and showed the lowest average of altitude error at 2.5°. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
