Abstrakt: The paper examines the influence of national, sectoral and regional factors on the change in the number of employees by type of economic activity in the region. On the basis of the proposed classification features, a typology of the types of economic activity of the region was carried out using the example of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the territories of which fully or partially belong to the Arctic zone. A criteria basis has been developed for identifying the types of economic activity that have a priority impact on increasing employment. The key points of employment growth in the region have been identified (on the example of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
