Abstrakt: Researchers have found studying a player's psychological well-being and its consequences to be a fascinating area of study. Our goal is to determine how and to what extent a player's psychology affects their performance. Thirty male archers between the age of 15 and 30 years with at least one year of experience were divided into experimental and control groups. An Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (EIQ) and a Sports Anxiety Scale (SAS) help to perceive a player's anxiety levels, psychological arousals, and concentration levels during competition. Player's performance levels were assessed using an archery test score, in which they fired three ends of six arrows and score was calculated. As part of the therapy, object focus exercises and progressive muscular relaxation exercises were offered. In the experimental group, shooting performance (P value equal to 0.0001), EIQ (P value equal to 0.007), and SAS (P value equal to 0.017) were all substantial. This study demonstrates that object focus and high concentration workouts improve shooting results; accordingly, psychological stability of an archer is required to attain maximum scores during competition and for optimal eye focus.
