Abstrakt: The pC Cauchy pressure of the alloys crystal lattice (Pettifor criterion), Pugh's ratio (Pugh criterion), and Poisson's ratio (Frantsevich criterion), which characterize the plasticity and brittleness of materials, are calculated. The plasticity of the TiNi-based alloys and the brittleness of Ti50Ni50-xFex(x≥10%) compounds based on the criteria application and the alloys mechanical properties and the interatomic chemical bond type association are discussed. The TiNi and TiNi-TiFe Cauchy pressure pC and the Pugh ratio B/G (cij) correlation coefficient was a 96.76% (p<0.001), between pC and B/G (A) was an 85.46% (p<0.05), and pC and μ was a 98.87% (p<0.001). That shows a strong statistical relationship between the parameters. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
