Abstrakt: The goal of node locating is to use known nodes to compute the locations of unknown nodes, which is a vital operation in wireless sensor network applications. Location accuracy has a big impact on WSN performance. Many meta-heuristic methods have been utilized for WSN location in the academic literature, with many successes in minimizing location error. To improve the identifying of unknown nodes in WSN, we utilize the improved salp swarm algorithm (ISSA) based on weight factor and adaptive mutation method in this study. In terms of location inaccuracy, calculation time, and number of nodes processed, the proposed approach was assessed in various scenarios and its efficiency was compared to the basic paper methodology. When compared to the original approach, the modified salp swarm algorithm produced the best outcomes in terms with a 3.34 percent improvement in the number of target nodes and anchor nodes both algorithms took longer to compute as the number of target nodes and anchor nodes grew, but the proposed technique took 2.41 percent less time.
