The article focuses on the Bert and Peggy Dupont Lecture, which has been a part of the Association's annual banquet since 1981 and was endowed in 2008 by the DuPonts to recognize individuals who contribute significantly to the field of medicine. The DuPonts, Dr. Herbert (Bert) L. DuPont and Margaret (Peggy) W. DuPont, have made substantial contributions to infectious diseases research and international clinical trials. |
