Abstrakt: The development of nanoparticles (NPs) as part of cancer therapy has led to a new research area of cancer nanomedicine. Compared to traditional anti-cancer drugs, NPs offer a targeted approach that prevents adverse effects. This manuscript aims to critically review AgNPs synthesized via different approaches, their use in cancer treatment, and future challenges. AgNPs have been extensively studied in the context of cancer treatment, and the reported results have raised exciting expectations. In this review, we provide an overview of the current research on AgNPs in blood cancer. Furthermore, this review article also presents the recent advances and achievements in using green synthesized AgNPs in cancer treatment and proposes mechanistic measures for their anticancer potential. Understanding the mechanistic action of AgNPs responsible for their therapeutic efficacy will help to design anti-cancer therapies and treatments as a potential therapeutic tool. The collection of results presented here will describe the characteristics that distinguish silver nanoparticles from other anti-cancer agents, and show the realistic possibilities and implications of oncotherapeutic innovations to find out whether silver nanoparticle cancer therapy is fiction or reality.
