Although I S. vesicarium i has already been reported infecting garlic plants in Brazil (Boiteux et al. [1]), this is the first report of this fungus on onion in the Country. A garlic (Allium sativum) leaf blight caused by Stemphylium vesicarium in Brazil. Onion plants of cultivar Mercedes were inoculated with the isolates by spraying conidial suspension of 1 × 10 SP 5 sp spores/mL on the unwounded or wounded leaves. [Extracted from the article] |
