Chemically synthesized ZnO and Tin-doped ZnO are synthesized using the reflux method. The synthesized nanoparticles doped with tin were tested for their photocatalytic activity to reduce environmental pollutants. The bandgap of ZnO nanoparticles was obtained to be 3.2 eV. There is no effect of Tin doping on the morphology of photocatalysis. Optical, Morphological, and Structural properties were investigated using X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron microscope, Electron Dispersion Spectroscopy, and UV–visible spectroscopy. Here in this study, Tin is doped with 5% Tin-doped ZnO and 10% Tin-doped ZnO into pristine ZnO for photodegradation application. The Rose Bengal dye degradation has been carried out to study the effect of tin doping on ZnO. For pristine ZnO, the degradation takes place within 100 min whereas when tin is doped the degradation efficiency reduces to 70 min. Tin doping enhances the photocatalytic activity of photocatalysts.
