Abstrakt: Red mud based foamed lightweight insulation materials are prepared through foaming and high-temperature calcination by using red mud as the main raw material, supplemented by fly ash and binders. The effects of raw material ratio, foaming agent content, sintering temperature and holding time on its properties were studied, and its formation mechanism was analyzed. The results show that when m(red mud):m(fly ash) =10:8, sintering temperature is 1150 °C, holding time is 120min, the density of the prepared red mud foam light insulation material is 479 kg/m³, the bending strength is 0.41 MPa, and the compressive strength is 1.15 MPa. The thermal conductivity is 0.09W/(m⋅K). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
