Use of foam concrete and 3D printing technology in civil engineering: A state of the art review.

Abstrakt: The construction activities have considerably increased in recent years which results in massive production of concrete. This has resulted in enhancement of amount of emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The use of different types of concrete like foam concrete in amalgamation with latest technologies like 3D printing can prove to be a potential solution. This paper explores different types of concrete that can be used in construction activities and after comparison it was observed that foam concrete to be the best possible alternative. This paper in detail presents large review of works pertaining to foam concrete. This paper investigates the different challenges faced in using of 3D printing technology in civil engineering and presents possible solutions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
