Model calculation and evaluation of neutron induced reaction cross-section on 237Np, 241Am and 245Cm using EMPIRE 3.2 code.

Abstrakt: The results of model calculations for (n, t) and (n, f) reaction cross section using a standard codes EMPIRE 3.2 for Neptunium (Np), Americium(Am) and Curium (Cm) element in neutron energy range En = 1-20 MeV are presented. Different nuclear model presents in the codes have been considered for the calculation of cross sections of desired nuclear reactions. The contribution of various model to the cross section within the compound nucleus CN pre-equilibrium emission PE and direct reaction DR is also discussed. Our data are compared with the existing experimental data and current evaluated nuclear data from ENDF/B-VIII.0, CENDL 3.2 and JEFF 3.3 and accurate results predicted is therefore crucially important to study radiative waste transmutation and design of various nuclear system [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
