Abstrakt: The aim of this investigation is to study the effect of using scrap tires recycled steel fibers on some hardened properties of sustainable self-compacted concrete (SSCC) containing crushed waste clay brick as a partially volumetric replacement of natural coarse aggregate. The crushed clay brick waste was used with 15%, 25% as partially volumetric replacements of natural coarse aggregate. The volume fractions of scrap tires recycled steel fiber (STRSF) that had been used in SCC were 0, 0.25, 0.5 and 0.75% with 40 as an aspect ratio in combination with 15% volumetric replacements of crushed clay bricks waste. Six concrete mixes had been prepared to accomplish the purpose of this investigation. The studied properties including, dry density, water absorption, compressive strength, flexural strength, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) and splitting tensile strength. The results illustrate that the increase in recycled steel fibers quantity in self-compacted concrete causes enhancement in hardened properties of GSCC (density, compressive strength, flexural strength, UPV and splitting tensile strength). The water absorption had been decreased with the increase of recycled steel fibers content. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
