The coffee shop industry relies heavily on coffee machines in its business processes. The machines used are physical assets that require maintenance so that the company continues to be productive. When an unplanned downtime occurs due to machines or equipment failure, this will disrupt the coffee shop operation. It would be costly to revise the production plan in an emergency and also causes lower product quality and variability in service level. The paper describes a case study of maintenance management in coffee shops, where the analysis used simple descriptive statistics. To investigate five maintenance variables, we issued a 17-question questionnaire to 30 coffee shops in Jakarta. After that, a descriptive analysis is carried out to determine the data's implications. From the survey result, most of the respondents were concerned about the financial aspects of maintenance. Furthermore, cleaning the coffee machine reveals the respondents' perceptions of maintenance activities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
