Abstrakt:	This article comments on human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) stimulation in children with cryptorchidism. Regardless of the subspecialty in pediatrics, it will be agreed that the examination of the testicle in the infant and child has to be one of the more difficult and subjective physical findings recorded. The distinction between retractile testes and true undescended tests may be easily described and taught but the actual truth remains illusive in a small portion of the patients. It is in this group that hCG or LH-RH stimulation may have a place.
