Abstrakt: The article presents information on computerized axial tomography in family members of patients with tuberous sclerosis. The diagnosis of tuberous sclerosis (TS) is both clinical and radiologic' Recognition is straightforward when the classical triad of seizures, mental retardation and adenoma sebaceum are evident. Computerized axial tomography (CAT) has been found to be a very sensitive tool for the diagnosis of TS, both in early cases and in incomplete forms of the disease. Researchers have studied family members of proven cases of TS, using clinical criteria and CAT scanning in screening for signs of the disease.
