The paper studies formation of pine communities on the example of 10 permanent observation plots. Features of natural renewal under the forest canopy were revealed. Formation of the second tier was considered. When creating pine monocultures, forest stands with multi-species composition begin to form by the age of 60 years. It is shown that composition of the pine stands is characterized by the multi-vertex distribution. This is due to heterogeneity of the forest stand. Second tier of broad-leaved species is formed in the pine trees. Ability of pine plantings in the Moscow region to maintain stability at the age of more than 160 years was noted. Types of forest forming on rich soils are suitable for pine planting with inclusion of the broad-leaved species. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
