Intelligent social governance is an important way to realize the pattern of co-construction, co-management and sharing, and to promote innovation in social governance models. Based on the statistical and visual analysis of 620 Chinese and English literatures on social governance intelligence published in Web of Science and CNKI from 2010 to 2022, the development status, basic features and research trends of domestic and foreign research in this field are compared through co-occurrence analysis, emergence analysis and knowledge graph clustering analysis using CiteSpace software, The study shows that, the number of domestic and foreign journal publications has been steadily increasing, but the start of the research on social governance intelligence in Chinese literature is later, and the ability of collaboration between scholars and research institutions engaged in social governance intelligence research is significantly weaker than that of foreign institutions; There are similarities in the research hotspots and core issues of social governance intelligence at home and abroad, with foreign research on social governance intelligence focusing on three dimensions: innovation of new-generation information technology, expansion of scenario fields and construction of guarantee mechanisms, while domestic research pays more attention to the concrete implementation effectiveness of social governance intelligence. In the future, it is still urgent to cope with existing problems such as low research cooperation, lack of systematic research and insufficient quantitative research for domestic and international research on intelligent social governance.
