Abstrakt: Global warming is a phenomenon of increasing the average temperature on the earth due to human activities. These days, the impact of global warming causes severe drought and flood. An effort should be made to increase public awareness of the risk of global warming. Educational media could have a significant role in communicating the science behind the global warming phenomenon to a broader community includes the school community. This study aims to describe the making of a green ecosystem model by using the DHT11 sensor. For this purpose, this study applied a research and development approach consisting of five components: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The investigation involved literature reviews on the DHT11 sensor and the thermodynamics theory. The green ecosystem model was then developed to show the differences between green and dry environments. Temperature and humidity measured by DHT11 modelled the differences between green and dry. The results show that using the DHT11 sensor for making a green ecosystem model has a high accuracy rate. It means the sensor works for measuring the temperature and humidity of the green ecosystem model. Although the ecosystem model perfectly supports the global warming campaign, further research in DHT11 should be done to solve the problem of eradicating inaccuracy measurement due to insulation applied in the ecosystem model.
