This study was qualitative research that aimed to describe the learning experience of alumni when studying at the Master's Program in Higher Education Management and to investigate the benefits of the experience in alumni's field of work. Data were obtained from 40 alumni of the Master's Program in Higher Education Management who worked at Gadjah Mada University using an instrument in the form of an interview guide. Results indicated that the learning process at the Master's Program in Higher Education Management was carried out through lectures with classical education patterns, case discussions, simulations, problem-solving, and the application of experiential learning. The knowledge gained from the learning process at the Master's Program in Higher Education Management is knowledge at a macro level that is considered more global and comprehensive in the fields of work carried out by alumni. Concerning the impact of the learning process in this study program, alumni realize that whatever work they do is very contributive to their institution. The knowledge gained makes alumni more confident, sensitive, and more empathetic to their surrounding conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
