Abstrakt: In this paper an active dual active bridge high level inverter is focused. Solid state transformer are becoming utilized for various applications. The proposed topology gives an improved output efficiency. The power flow in both direction is attained with the help of higher-level inverters. The circulating power is reduced with the proposed design of five level inverter. The differential voltage dv/dt produced across the switches is also decreased. The control aspects can be improved with controlling the power flow from three degree with the higher inverter design. The design values are verified with the simulation results obtained from the MATLAB. The conventional system utilizes only a one stage phase shift control scheme there by reducing the output efficiency. The results obtained from the higher level inverter proven better output results when compared with the two level inverters. The verification is analyzed using the MATLAB results.
