Abstrakt: Given that the internal combustion engine is a heat engine, the question of the temperature state of the parts and the operating temperatures is highly relevant, particularly if the current design can be operated on new fuels under the ever-increasing pressure to limit fuels of petroleum and coal origin. The paper aims to identify, analyse, and recommend effective methods for developing potential design modifications that will enable using alternative fuels for operating internal combustion engines. Another focus is proposing a measuring system for studying the heat fields of important engine parts, using an analogue-to-digital converter, EMF amplifier, and thermocouples for measuring the temperature of details. The laboratory test results are analysed and used for creating 3D models in the SolidWorks environment. It was established that the theoretical-experimental method proposed gives an accurate and detailed picture of the temperature field and is applicable for studying the thermal state of engine body parts.
