In countries with a car fleet of over 15 years of age and insufficiently effective control of the content of toxic components in the exhaust gases, a common practice is to change the basic algorithm for managing the power performance of the car. This is usually done without environmental control for compliance with the standard which the particular car must meet. The article assesses the environmental effect of such actions, taking into account the higher emission of nitrogen oxides in unregulated car tuning compared to standard settings. The most severe mode of sharp acceleration up to 50% and 100% of the possible load was carefully studied. A variant of a compromise change of the law of fuel supply is proposed in order to reduce the thermodynamic prerequisites for the formation of nitrogen oxides during the boost of the engine at medium effective pressure. Measures are proposed to control the process of unregulated impact on the basic settings of the car. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
