Abstrakt: The design and layout of office space is one of the fundamental factors influencing the indoor environmental quality and thus also the performance and satisfaction of the users themselves. The paper deals with the evaluation of selected indoor environmental quality (IEQ) factors, specifically thermal comfort and indoor air quality (IAQ) parameters, in two office buildings. Both buildings are identical in terms of design and technical equipment, they differ in the design of the layout. While the first office building consists of closed office spaces, the second has an open-space layout. Measurements of selected IEQ risk factors were carried out on different floors in selected office spaces representative of all occupied areas under typical operating conditions. The results of real measurements show that the office rooms of both office buildings meet the criteria set by the legislation. In addition, the requirements set by the internationally recognized LEED and WELL certification systems were also met in both buildings. Based on the results of measurements of thermal comfort and indoor air quality parameters can be concluded that, spaces in both buildings provide their users with a healthy and comfortable working environment.
