Higher-order thinking ability (HOTS) is a 21st-century skill that must be possessed by prospective mathematics teacher students so that they can develop their students' HOTS abilities in the future. HOTS mastery indicators are analysis, evaluation, and creation. This study aims to determine the mastery of prospective mathematics teacher students in solving HOTS.-oriented mathematical problems. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, with the research subjects as many as 20 students of prospective mathematics teachers. The research instruments used were tests and questionnaires. The research results on students' HOTS mastery ability showed 20% in the low category, 65% in the medium category, and 15% in the high category. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the average ability of students to master the HOTS indicator is only at the level of analysis and evaluation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
