In this work, gold nanoparticles anchored by polydopamine on the surface were prepared using dopamine hydrochloride as a reducing agent at room temperature, and the response detection of AuNPs@PDA to heavy metal ions was investigated. The structures and properties of the as-prepared AuNPs and AuNPs@PDA were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV–visible spectrophotometer and Zeta potentiometric analyzer. The effects of different metal ions and same metal ion at various concentrations on the absorption peak positions of the as-prepared AuNPs@PDA were investigated. The results have shown that the AuNPs@PDA was spherical with an average size of 22.2 nm, ranging from 10 to 40 nm, and the surface was anchored by polydopamine molecules. AuNPs@PDA could responsive to various metal ions, and the minimum concentrations of responding to different metal ions were various. The minimum response concentration of Pb2+ ion was 6.02 μM (detection limit), and Cd2+ was 22.19 μM. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
