Abstrakt: This article focuses on a research work which was aimed at studying the physicochemical properties and developing the pharmaceutical analysis of the parent substance of cardiocyclide. Cardiocyclide is a new antiarrhythmic drug developed at the Institute of Pharmacology (Moscow). The parent substance, selected as the most active compound upon screening among aminocarboxylic acid amides, belongs to class III antiarrhythmic drugs and possesses large breadth of therapeutic action. The quantitative content of cardiocyclide in parent substances was determined by two methods: nonaqueous acid-base titration and permanganatometric titration.
