Abstrakt: This article focuses on the optimization of the composition and technology of pentoxifyllin core tablets. Pentoxifyllin, representing 3.7-dimethyl-1-(5-oxohexyl)-xanthine or 1-(5-oxohexyl)theobromine, is a cardiovascular drug producing a vasodilative effect, blocking phosphodiesterase, and favoring cAMP accumulation in cells. The drug improves the microcirculation and rheological properties of blood, hinders thrombocyte aggregation, decreases blood viscosity, and favors oxygen supply to tissues. Pentoxifyllin is administered in cases of peripheral circulation disorders, atherosclerotic disturbances, ischemic states, or vascular pathology of orbital floors.
