Abstrakt: The article highlights, from the perspective of neuroscience, the peculiarities of the investigator's modes of judgment, highlighting the common and specific characteristics of deductive, inductive and abductive inferences. The transition from certainty to possibility, quantified by probability, brings back, like Data Science, into discussion Thomas Bayes' subjective statistics, whose utility is not only in the classification and clustering of data but also in the dynamic quantification of probability in relation to evidence which the investigator has at a certain moment.
