In order to enhance the photocatalytic performance of SnS2 and work out the serious problem of photogenerated carrier recombination, SnS2/GO composites were synthesized by hydrothermal method and wet grinding method. The composite products were characterized and analyzed by SEM, HRTEM, XRD, FI-IR, UV–Vis, and PL. The photocatalytic degradation ability of methylene blue by composite catalyst under the halogen tungsten light source was investigated. The results showed that the synthesized SnS2 and SnS2/GO are hexagonal nanoparticles, which belong to the hexagonal crystal system. The electrochemical impedance and photoluminescence intensity of SnS2/GO composites decreased, the band gap value declined, the UV-visible light absorption range expanded, and the surface area increased. The photocatalytic efficiency of SnS2 was improved by loading graphene oxide (GO). After the photocatalytic reaction, 15 mg grinding sample G:SnS2/10 wt % GO has the best photocatalytic performance, its degradation rate of methylene blue is 92%, at 80 min of photo-reaction which was 31% higher than SnS2, and the equilibrium time was 100 min earlier than SnS2. The reaction rate constant was 2.43 times that of SnS2, and the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue by SnS2/GO is (photo-induced electron) e– dominated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
