Based on the statistical decision theory, the authors have proposed the approach to selecting the synchro preambles for mutually non-orthogonal digital signals during packet transmission in wireless communication systems with random multiple access. To solve the problem of detecting the state in a shared channel resource, they have used sets of quasi-orthogonal Kasami, Gold, and Kamaletdinov sequences and their combinations. Factorization of the problems of detecting the state in a radio channel and separation–demodulation of signals by methods of the multi-user detection theory allows for avoiding the exponential growth in the complexity of algorithms for processing conflicting signals.
