Abstrakt: Internally generated existential threats such as nuclear weapons or and external threats such as asteroid impact could annihilate such a high proportion of Earth's population that only small isolated pockets of humanis were left. Climate change denial shows the self-contradictory nature of capitalism, which requires this denial for the continuation of the system. To a typical global corporation, the exchange value of consumer goods is of more consequence than the planet. But the greater likelihood is through anthropogenic causes like climate change, resource depletion, and food shortages brought on by the rampant destructiveness of capitalism.
