University students organized the Community Services Program at the Cipelang Village. The online activities were arranged by lecturer team from IPB University, Bogor. The results of the socialization program showed that only view people were aware with waqf and its use in real economy, even though most of them familiar with waqf terminology. The waqf socialization to the community made the community more aware of waqf and its use, including for community economic empowerment. The community also hoped to have the opportunity to use waqf funds for their economic empowerment, including for the development of Muslim friendly (halal) tourism, considering that in Cipelang Village prevails many traditional Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, further action to gather the waqf funds for empowering the potential is needed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
