In this study we investigate the interest of using spectral signatures in the discrimination of aromatic and medicinal plants. We considered the species Lavandula stoechas and studied the influence of varying data collection conditions on the reflectance results. Spectral signature data were obtained by field spectroscopy using the FIELDSPEC spectroradiometer. The results show that the recording conditions clearly influence the obtained spectra.
