Presents an analysis of several cases of congenital syphilis. Determination of incidence of meningitis among syphilis patients; Indication of the presence of osteochondritis and periostitis of long bones; Observation of increase in reticulocytes and immature white blood cells with decrease in platelet count; Initiation of penicillin treatment; Importance of the detection of syphilis early in pregnancy plus adequate treatment of the pregnant woman to prevent transmission. |
