Dow AgroSciences product technology specialist Bobby Haygood was asked to comment on the company's chemical portfolio and on its biotechnology offering called WideStrike. Portions of his update: "Dow AgroSciences has an extensive portfolio of insect control options for cotton growers, including Tracer Naturalyte, insect control for the bollworm/ budworm complex...and Kelthane miticide for mite outbreaks...WideStrike Insect Protection performed consistently in small plot and strip trials conducted from Texas through Virginia. We continued to see excellent control of most worm pests in cotton, especially tobacco budworm, fall army-worm and loopers." |
