Abstrakt: Extraanatomic bypass has been utilized increasingly in both elective and emergency situations over the last ten years. The three major indications are: (1) a poor-risk patient, (2) an alternative to direct primary or secondary reconstruction, and (3) a need to bypass an infected area. In some patients, it may be necessary to perform more than one extraanatomic bypass for symptomatic relief or limb salvage. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
