Abstrakt: Revisiting Michael Bonell's work on humid tropical rainforest catchments: Isotope tracers reveal seasonal shifts in catchment hydrology. This SI aims at bringing together the state of the art in hydrological sciences of the Tropics derived from observed data, modelling, and hydrological theory, to critically outline the challenges and opportunities in tropical hydrology research. TIME-VARYING WATER AGES AND FLOW PATHS IN DIFFERENT CATCHMENT STORES Mayer-Anhalt et al. ([9]) assess the time-varying nature of streamflow ages in a Costa Rican supra-wet rainforest catchment dominated by very fast near-surface flow pathways. [Extracted from the article]
