High rates of reserves production from terrigenous deposits lead to the need of developing hydrothermal technologies for the extraction of hydrocarbon raw materials from oil-producing rocks with high oil-generation potential. As a result of the implementation of hydrothermal effects on the deposit, organic matter and mobile hydrocarbons present in the sediments are involved not only in physical processes, but also in chemical transformations, which have not been sufficiently studied to date. The paper presents the study results on the transformation of organic matter of the oil-producing siliceous-clay carbonate rock of the Semiluksko-Mendymsky horizon of the Romashkinsky field in hydrothermal fluid (water-to-rock ratio 33:1) in the temperature range of 340–380°C and at pressures of 17–20 MPa. Because of the hydrothermal process, with an increase in temperature from 340 to 380°C and pressure from 17 to 20 MPa, reactions of separation of alkyl substituents of naphthenic and aromatic structures, cyclization and dehydrogenation of alkanes occur intensively, which leads to an increase in the number of compounds of several naphthalene, phenanthrene, and asphaltene molecules and the appearance of carbene-carboids.
