Optimization and mathematical simulation of associated petroleum gas treatment unit in aspen HYSYS.

Abstrakt: The article considers the optimization of associated petroleum gas treatment unit, specifically the quality improvement of commercial gas via decrease of water dew point to technological requirements for raw feedstock of Yuzhno-Balyk gas refining plant. As upgrade options, it is proposed to implement two-stage absorbent supply into mass transfer sections of drying columns as well design of additional block of absorbent regeneration on purpose of decreased residual water content in gas. Flow diagram of utilized condensate stabilization is developed to produce additional standard-conform fuels such as natural stable gas, commercial butane, and propane. With the purpose of hydrocarbon gas utilization, the process flow diagram of flare gas recovery unit is provided. Simulation and calculation of optimum equipment size is performed using software Aspen HYSYS. The technical result of proposed modernization directions is presented by increase in commercial hydrocarbon gas yield and improvement of quality parameters as well production of incremental petrochemicals.
